Usage of MLA education and extension resources – Creative Commons (CC)
MLA and its partners have funded the development of education and extension resources (including manuals, tools and calculators) to benefit Australian red meat producers. To improve the accessibility of these resources to industry, MLA and its partners have adopted an ‘easy access creative commons’ approach. Below is a list of resources that are available via creative commons licencing.

Most copyrighted publications on this page are made available under Creative Commons Atribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licensing, which permits sharing and use at no cost under the certain listed publications provisions.
Certain publications are not to be modified nor used to create derivative works, and these are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 2.0 International licence (CC BY-ND 2.0 AU), which permits sharing but does not allow modification or the creation of derivative works.

This Excel based calculator can be used to predict remaining shelf life of vacuum packed beef and lamb, based on storage temperature, and an estimation of the microbial load (Total Viable Count (TVC)) at the time of packing.
